Meet the Conservator

Melanie Brussat is an Objects Conservator working in the New York metropolitan area. She has experience working with wooden artifacts and sculpture, gilded and painted objects, stone sculpture, ivory, glass, archaeological materials, metals, ceramics, and modern materials such as fiberglass and plastic. Melanie is able to work on-site or in the studio as each situation warrants. She is a Professional Associate of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works, and a graduate of the Conservation Center at the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University.
