This early 20th century plaster copy of Luca Della Robbia's Cantoria by the Caproni Brothers had been obscured by four layers of thick overpaint and
suffered a large break in the upper corner.
Melanie carefully stripped the paint, using the utmost caution to avoid damaging the original plaster. She reattached the broken corner piece and, in consultation with
the owner, decided to leave the plaster unpainted.
