This mixed media "cat fish" was missing most of one ear.

The original ear was made of leather.

To imitate the aged look, Melanie used heavy acid-free card stock, bent it to the proper shape,

and painted it to match.

The new ear was attached with a reversible, conservation-grade adhesive.
